We realize that anytime a pet is having a surgical procedure that clients are worried. We want the client to have a clear understanding of the procedure and the estimated costs. One issue we see frequently is osteoarthritis in dogs and cats. Luckily, we now have products like Solensia for cats and Librela for dogs.
Osteoarthritis is a common, age-related degeneration of cartilage in the joints, which results in bone-on-bone contact and moderate to severe chronic pain. Unfortunately, cats and dogs are quite skilled at masking their pain which makes it difficult for even their owners to recognize the signs that they may be suffering. We recommend completing the below checklist to see if your pet may be dealing with osteoarthritis pain. Please forward your results to jewellhospital@gmail.com so we can advise on next steps!
